Mom. Nurse. Endorsed Democrat running for Erie County Legislature, District 8
As a long time resident of our district, I've always loved our community. I'm running to bring back hardworking Democratic values by:Funding health services
Supporting grants for local businesses
Supporting childcare programsThis is a campaign for all.
We deserve a leader who will put their community above politics.

I was born in Southern California, and my family moved around a lot when I was younger. We moved to Lancaster, NY a month before I turned eleven, from a small rural suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I quickly fell in love with all things Western New York and feel deeply connected to our community.I left college in my junior year when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Helping my mom through treatments and into remission sparked a joy for caring for others in me. As life happens, I met my first husband, and we had our daughter in 2011. I became a single mom and worked a few office jobs here and there to support us. I knew this wasn’t a long-term solution and eventually went back to school for nursing, graduating in October of 2015. I started working in dialysis in early 2016, which is where I met my coworker Ryan, whom I eventually fell in love with and married.Ryan and I bought our first house in Kenmore in 2019. Our middle guy was born in early 2020, and then the world changed. Like everyone, we were deeply impacted by the COVID pandemic. We were new parents trying to navigate a global crisis, and we really became aware of how much your community affects your life. Our final baby was born in 2021, and our middle guy was diagnosed as autistic around the same time. We knew we needed the best school district and started looking for houses in Lancaster. We moved as a family of five back to Lancaster in July of 2022. I knew this was home, and the community that helped raise me was where I wanted to raise my three kids. I got involved in the local democratic committee, where I became vice chair in 2023. I have worked quietly behind the scenes of local campaigns, knocking doors, creating content, and helping in any way that was asked of me. I know what it takes to stand up to the republican bullies because I’ve done it.During all of this, I went back to school. I finished a four-year degree from Hilbert College, primarily studying law and criminal justice. I enrolled in an online Master of Legal Studies program through the University of Miami, where I graduate in May of 2026 with a degree in Healthcare Law and Regulation. I chose this path so I could gain a better understanding of why our system is set up the way it is and how to best traverse the ever changing landscape of our healthcare system.I have a unique perspective on government and politics as my mother’s family is related to President James A Garfield. I grew up learning about our history and politics from a unique lens. I know what politics and governing can cost, and I’m here to say that I am ready to fight because I cannot sit on the sidelines anymore. Our country, from local county government to the federal government, is under attack. It takes hardworking people willing to step up and commit to make change, and that’s exactly what I promise to do.This campaign will be for the community, by the community. I look forward to working with you all.
